Filosofie
“Vogels in alle vrijheid, sierlijk wervelend door de lucht of trots stappend op de grond. Die bewegingen proberen te vangen is mijn uitdaging.”
Het ambachtelijke draaien op de schijf en de precisie van de sgraffito techniek kenmerken het werk; potten en vazen waar sierlijke vogels in gesneden zijn.Soms worden de objecten gecombineerd met metaalklei. Het resultaat is een sierlijke combinatie van porselein met rijk glanzend zilver. Deze technieken komen op een schitterende manier naar voren in mijn sieraden.
Philosophy
”Birds in all their freedom, gracefully gliding through the sky or proudly strutting on the ground. To capture those motions is my challenge.”
The craftsmanship of the throwing wheel and the precision of the sgraffito technique characterize the work; pots and vases in which graceful birds are carved. Sometimes the objects are combined with metal clay. The result is an elegant combination of porcelain with rich shiny silver. The combination of delicate porcelain and shiny silver shows to full advantage in my jewelry.
